Những đóng góp mới của luận án
– Kết quả nghiên cứu của đề tài bổ sung thêm tư liệu khoa học về đặc điểm sinh lý sinh dục và khả năng sinh sản của lợn nái VCN-MS15 và 1/2 giống VCN-MS15.
-Đóng góp các kết quả nghiên cứu mới về khả năng sinh trưởng và chất lượng thịt của các tổ hợp lợn lai mới có 1/2 giống VCN-MS15 là (Pietrain x VCN-MS15), (Duroc x VCN-MS15) và 1/4 giống VCN-MS15 gồm Pietrain x (Duroc x VCN-MS15), Duroc x (Pietrain x VCN-MS15) và Landrace x (Duroc x VCN-MS15).
– Kết quả nghiên cứu của đề tài luận án là cơ sở để cơ quan chuyên môn có thể khuyến cáo, và người chăn nuôi lựa chọn và áp dụng các nhóm nái lai và các tổ hợp lợn lai khác nhau có giống VCN-MS15 vào sản xuất nhằm nâng cao khả năng sinh sản, năng suất, chất lượng thịt và hiệu quả trong chăn nuôi lợn ở Thừa Thiên Huế và miền Trung.
– Làm phong phú thêm tư liệu cho công tác nghiên cứu và giảng dạy trong lĩnh vực chăn nuôi lợn.

2. Objectives
Using VCN-MS15 sows bred with various exotic boars available in Thua Thien Hue province (Duroc, Pietrain and Landrace)and evaluating their productivity (reproductive and growth performance)in condition of commercial feed and open housing to serve as a basis for recommendations of diversifying pig breeds and using crossbreds with VCN-MS15 gene to improve productivity, meat quality and efficiency of pig production in Thua Thien Hue.
3. New contributions of the thesis
-Results of the study provide scientific literature on characteristics of genital physiology and reproductive performance of VCN-MS15 and 1/2 MS15-VCN sows.
-Provide new findings on the growth capacity and meat quality of new crossbredswith 1/2 VCN-MS15 geneincluding F1(Pietrain x VCN-MS15), F1(Duroc x VCN-MS15) and with 1/4 VCN-MS15 gene including Pietrain x F1(Duroc x VCN-MS15), Duroc x F1(Pietrain x VCN-MS15) và Landrace x F1(Duroc x VCN-MS15).
– Results serve as a scientific basis for specialized agencies to recommend farmers/producers selecting the hybrid sows and various crossbredswith VCN-MS15 gene to improve the reproductive performance, carcass characteristics, meat quality and economic efficiency in pig production and Thua Thien Hue province.
– Enrich database for research and teaching in the pig production field.
